Envista began as a project in 2006, while its founder, Mark Cross, was working as an engineer in the New Zealand telecommunications industry. He realised that many of the issues that led to projects failing to meet stakeholder expectations were not due to management or technology. They were due to a failure to adequately identify, define and communicate the stakeholders' needs and requirements.

Mark Cross
Founder and Principal Consultant
Mark Cross started working in IT transformation over twenty years ago while working as a telecommunications network engineer for a major UK based broadband internet provider. In the years since, he has carried out dozens of projects, ranging from minor process improvement projects to two of the largest infrastructure programmes in New Zealand history.
For the last ten years, he has been specialising as a business analyst and is one of a small number of industry professionals who are triple-accredited by the IIBA, IREB and the British Computer Society. He is currently in the final stages of a Global MBA at Alliance Manchester Business School with electives in Digital Banking & FinTech, Entrepreneurship & Innovation Management and International Business Strategy.
